Our Mission

We are very proud of our small school, our current students, and former graduates.  Our accomplishments in academics and in our activities are impressive, and yet, we continue to work to get better and to grow as educators and as learners in our building.  It is our goal to make sure our students' years at Sebeka are good preparation for future careers and memorable times that our graduates will look back on fondly.

About Sebeka School

Sebeka School is a public school in Sebeka, Minnesota, serving grades preK–12. Our high school, preschool, and elementary are all contained within our same building and our mascot is the Trojan.

The population of the Sebeka School lives in a four county area, and we have over 500 students enrolled K-12. There are forty-six certified staff members working at Sebeka School District. They consist of fourteen classroom teachers (K-6), one computer and media specialist, one speech clinician, six special education teachers, one Adaptive Physical/Ed. teacher, one full time Title I Teacher and a part-time Title I and intervention teacher and four teachers shared with the high school: Art, Band, Vocal/ Music, and fifteen teachers in the secondary. Eighteen of forty-six full time teachers have Master’s Degrees and three teachers are currently working on their advanced degrees as well. There are twelve paraprofessionals in the elementary and two full time paraprofessionals in the secondary.

Activities & Extra-Curriculars

Sebeka High School currently offers eleven sports: seven for boys (baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, track and field, and wrestling) and seven for girls (basketball, cheerleading, cross country, golf, softball, track and field, and volleyball). Some of our sports (cross country, football, wrestling, track and field, golf, and cheerleading) are in a cooperative with Menahga High School, and we are known as United North Central (UNC). The colors of our combined teams are black and gold, and we are known as the Warriors. We also offer a Clay Target Shooting League.

Our teams have had much success and we are proud of their hard work in years past. Our Trojans' boys basketball team made its first ever trip to the state tournament in 2009. The team returned to the state tournament in 2010 as well and finished as state runners-up. The Trojans' baseball team also advanced to the state tournament in 2010 - the team's third appearance. Sebeka advanced to the Class A title game for the first time in school history that year. Our Trojans' fastpitch softball team also advanced to State Tournament play in the spring of 2012 and competed for the first time at that level in program history. Our volleyball team competed at State in the fall of 2015 and came home with a fifth place finish. That same year our UNC Warrior football team competed at the State Tournament as well. Our Cross-Country girls’ team also raced at the State Tournament in the fall of 2015. Our fastpitch softball team also earned the right to play at the MSHSL State Tournament at Caswell Park in Mankato in the spring of 2018. Our small town is certainly proud of the dedication and hard work that our players and coaches have put into to get to this level of play! Go Trojans! Go Warriors!

Sebeka High School students are also involved in a variety of extracurricular organizations and activities including FFA, Knowledge Bowl, BPA, FCCLA, NHS, Speech, and the one-act play. In 2008, Sebeka's Knowledge Bowl team placed 3rd in the Class A state meet while the team also earned a 5th place finish in 2009. The team came back to state in 2010 and won the Class A Tournament. Sebeka also won the state A title in 2011.
